The agreement formally onboards the SACCO onto SaccoSys SACCO Software and marks another important step in SaccoSys' mission to digitize community and company-based SACCOs across Uganda.

About Bukoola Chemical Industries Ltd. Staff SACCO

Bukoola Chemical Industries Ltd. Staff SACCO is a registered Savings and Credit Cooperative (SACCO) based in Nalukolongo, Kampala. It was established to provide affordable financial services to employees of Bukoola Chemical Industries Ltd. and to empower them to improve their financial well-being. Its core purpose is to promote a savings culture and give members access to credit on terms that match their financial capacity.

The SACCO currently serves more than 105 members, with plans to recruit more employees across the company. Members have accessed low-interest loans for emergencies, school fees, medical expenses and business development, while consistent savings has earned them competitive dividends. The SACCO has also invested in financial literacy, educating members about money management and the importance of saving. To date, it has disbursed over Ugx. 100 million in loans to its members.
